Close Your Eyes Tight is a story about Jacob, a young man navigating complex family dynamics and childhood memories. He lives with his father, J. Haseen, and his stepmother, Mariam, who is also the mother of his younger half-brother, Abdul.
The story unfolds over a day and a night. Jacob reconnects with his childhood friends by the pool, reminiscing about their younger days. He also spends time with his girlfriend, Fatima, who has her own family struggles.
Meanwhile, Jacob deals with his fractured relationship with his father and tries to be a supportive older brother to Abdul. He comforts Abdul from nightmares and grapples with his own unresolved childhood issues.
